Who we are
Mood Design is run by two founders and a small, permanent team. We don't grow to take on more work — we stay the size that lets us do the work well. Everyone at the studio has a direct hand in every project.
Founders
Anna Kowalska
Co-founder, Principal Architect
Anna co-founded Mood Design in 2016 after a decade working across Warsaw, Vienna, and Amsterdam. Her practice spans architecture and spatial strategy, with a particular interest in the relationship between buildings and the cities they inhabit. She leads the studio's architectural projects and is closely involved in every brief from first conversation to completion.
Tomasz Wiśniewski
Co-founder, Head of Interior Design
Tomasz co-founded Mood Design alongside Anna in 2016. He leads the interior design practice, overseeing projects ranging from private residences to large-scale hospitality and retail spaces. His work is characterised by a meticulous approach to material selection and a belief that atmosphere is built from restraint as much as from addition.
Studio
Marta Zielińska
Senior Architect
Marta joined Mood Design in 2018 and has since become one of the studio's key architectural voices. She has led the design of several of the studio's most complex projects, including House Skarpa in Gdynia and Meridian Office in Lisbon. She brings particular expertise in working with existing buildings — finding what a structure already wants to be, and helping it get there.
Piotr Nowak
Interior Designer
Piotr joined the studio in 2020, bringing a background in furniture and product design that has proven invaluable across the studio's object design commissions. He works across interior and object scales — as comfortable specifying a bespoke joinery system as he is designing a standalone piece for a client's home.
Karolina Wróbel
Project Manager
Karolina is the operational backbone of Mood Design. She manages every project from the point of contract signature through to handover — coordinating contractors, consultants, and suppliers, keeping timelines honest, and making sure that what gets built matches what was designed.
